Stroke Awareness Matters (SAM) education for grades 3-5
Stroke Awareness Matters (SAM) is a stroke education program developed by ECU Health stroke coordinators in 9 counties in eastern North Carolina (Pitt, Beaufort, Bertie, Chowan, Dare, Duplin, Edgecombe, Halifax, Hertford). The package contains age-appropriate prevention and detection education for grades 3-5 and includes PowerPoint slides with notes, post-education survey, adult brochure, and BEFAST video. All materials can be downloaded for use.
