Burden of Cardiovascular Disease in North Carolina

The Burden of Cardiovascular Disease in North Carolina presents comprehensive statewide and local data on stroke, heart disease, and their risk factors.  This companion document to the NC Plan to Prevent Heart Disease and Stroke, 2005-2010 was developed by and for the Justus-Warren Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Task Force.

We hope that this information will be useful to public health professionals, policy makers, health care professionals, and all those working to address heart disease and stroke, the 2nd and 3rd leading causes of death in our state.
